Generosity in Dark Times Saves Businesses

Qamar Zaman gives away over a million dollars’ worth of free marketing help to struggling businesses in the era of COVID-19

Gen Z, coming after the Millennialscomprises over 40% of consumers in the U.S. in 2020, and, as LinkedIn says, has an estimated annual purchasing power of $44 billion.

Moreover, Gen Z is a more selective and sophisticated generation of Internet users, than Millennials. As former U.S. President, Ronald Reagan, so aptly said, “Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation.”

As Gen Z steer daily, through volumes of information, filtering out what is contrary to their values, 68%  are committed to creating a better world, which directly impacts their buying choices. In particular, they are drawn to the stories behind products and services. As a marketing expert, Sam Balter, said, “Nothing sticks in the head better than a story.”

Another one of his success stories in making is Sohma Rae Hathway, who is under Zaman’s mentorship program to launch her book, Finding Diamonds in the Dungeons.

His recent success story is a 16-year-old Gen Z Music Artist, Big Finny. Who is getting his new album launch?

There are many great stories like these ones that using KISS PR Brand Storytelling.

Qamar Zaman, a bold entrepreneur with South Asian roots, realized exactly this, as he spoke with people in Dallas, Texas, after relocating from the Cayman Islands in 2004, following the devastating Category 5 Hurricane Ivan that nearly killed him, and destroyed his fledgling business. He discovered that, wherever he went, people flocked to him to listen to his stories of courage and survival. And through this, he also discovered his greatest gift – story-telling.

Thus, Zaman figured out his future, and created a revolutionary platform, KISS PR Brand Storytelling Platform, providing the opportunity to small businesses to tell Brand-related stories, and stimulate demand for their products. Over 18 years, Zaman’s platform created 28,000 compelling stories of small businesses, globally, in a cost-effective and classy manner, and carved for his company a special niche in the world of digital marketing. Zaman says, “Understanding the psychology of the target audience is quite important.”

And now, during the grim COVID-19 business environment, Zaman, empathizing with faltering businesses, generously reached out to help. Beginning in March of 2020, he converted the Kiss PR paid press release program, to a completely free program called Kiss PR - Free Press Release COVID-19 Fund.

As Zaman explains, the Kiss PR COVID-19 Fund has, over the past months, given away over 1400 free stories to business owners, globally. The free business totals over $450,000. Kiss PR has also given discounted Press Releases worth $700,000. Zaman is proud to acknowledge that his company has given away over a million dollars in free marketing help to distressed small businesses. He says, My main motive to offer free press release service through KISS PR, is to allow new businesses to grow in the gloomy economic atmosphere during COVID-19.” His advice to discouraged businesses is, not to give up in the face of hardship.

As Gen Z is more connected on social media daily than Millennials, this digital marketing strategy of promoting courage and commitment in the face of adversity, appears to be boosting visibility, and stimulating demand is stagnant or declining businesses. And Zaman’s magnanimity in making this happen has inevitably kindled gratitude and appreciation. As ancient Roman playwright Plautus once said, “Nothing is more acceptable to a man than a friend in time of need.”
