Fujairah, UAE (Sept. 16, 2018) – The 8th Gulf Intelligence Energy Markets Forum will be held from September 17th to 18th at the Novotel in Fujairah, UAE. Hosted by the Government of Fujairah, the Forum is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah.

Themed ‘How to Navigate the New-Normal of Global Oil and Gas Trade Flows’, the Forum will gather leading figures from the worlds of energy trading, refining, storage and shipping, and will provide platforms for knowledge exchange with industry roundtables, breakfast briefings and leadership panels.

The Forum’s title sponsor Port of Fujairah is joined by other key partners Vitol, S&P Global Platts, and National Bank of Fujairah. Industry partners supporting the Forum include PETRONAS and Uniper.

Held in the presence H.H Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Department of Industry & Economy, Fujairah and Chairman of the Board of the Port of Fujairah, the Forum is also honored to welcome Special Guests: H.E. Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, Secretary General, Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), H.E. Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Petroleum Resources Department Sri Lanka, and H.E. Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy, United Arab Emirates.

The Awards’ four categories of ‘Trading’, ‘Refining’, ‘Storage’, and ‘Ports & Shipping’ reflect key pillars of the New Silk Road, which is set to again become the world’s largest platform of economic cooperation and integration.
